My art delves into a profound exploration of dualities - chaos and peace, time and timelessness, permanence and impermanence. It invites viewers to question reality, boundaries, and the flow of time, while drawing them into an abstract meditation on the intangible. Like a journey beyond words, my work surfaces emotions, thoughts and elements that evoke a connection to the universe, embracing the paradoxes between knowing and unknowing.
The organic, flowing forms reveal a subtle interplay between the human and natural worlds. I believe there’s a strong resonance with Henry Moore’s biomorphic sculptures and Matisse’s cut-outs, yet my art holds a unique voice. The soft transitions in shading and rounded, cellular shapes echo the rhythms of nature and the structure of life itself, drawing the viewer into a space that feels both familiar and enigmatic.
The muted tones and gentle gradients amplify the work’s calm yet contemplative quality, establishing a tranquil space for reflection. There’s a conceptual approach in my art, reminiscent of John Baldessari’s exploration of language , and a visual simplicity aligned with Mondrian’s primary colors - though the palette I use is subtler and earthier. This juxtaposition creates a bridge between tangible form and the abstract, connecting to the deeper movement of atoms and particles, as though each piece is an intimate part of the universal whole.
My intention is to encourage viewers to pause and reflect, to experience a momentary release from the boundaries of the physical world and instead tap into an exploration of infinite possibilities. Each piece serves as an invitation to connect with the abstract rhythms of existence, making my art both meditative and thought provoking, so that those dualities converge, dissolving the barriers of reality and concept.
In this timeless space, my work echoes the ideas of Octavio Paz, who believed that art is a journey beyond words, a confrontation with the mystery of existence. Like Paz, I aim to create a realm where “the concept of time is gone, and what’s left is what was always there”. This meditative journey offers viewers a chance to explore the hidden depths of their own consciousness, beyond the temporal, to touch something ancient and infinite.
